Beautiful Scott. I love the way the snow has built up around those trees.

Thanks, Adrian…that’s what caught my eye…thought it would make a nice photo.

That’s a nice snowfall. We got snow today – half of one inch. That’s a real big deal in the UK – it makes the headlines!

It was very nice, Andy…and good for you with your snow…did you manage to capture any images of the rare event? Hopefully everyone made it safely out and home again….

Tree igloos? or the one a little left of center looks like someone in a cape hugging the tree…. what fun, but it still looks too cold for the likes of me.

I was grasping, Gunta…thought about cloaked, blanketed, snuggled…um…settled for shrouded…and yes, that one does appear to be a person in a cape hugging the tree. It was fun, too…and cold.

The important thing is that you’re having fun being out there in all that white stuff!

Yes, indeed…thank you.

That’s odd. I wonder what caused it. Drifting?

I would have to guess, Allen, but I would say it probably has something to do with the winds up there in the mountains.

What an interesting photo. I’ve never seen snow mounded up around the base of trees before.
Makes an interesting composition (as opposed to just tree trunks in the snow).

Yes, it is, Victoria…it caught my eye immediately, quite unusual….

Wow, there are real figures there, hunting in the night with lanterns..! Love that sparkle at the front, too..
January 17, 2013 at 2:48 am
Yes, there are, Cath…and I so like your vision of them hunting in the night…wonderful.

Beautiful composition. The piled up snow at the base of the trees suggest skirts , perhaps a whirling dervish.
January 17, 2013 at 8:13 pm
Thank you, Elmediat…and those are nice thoughts, too…whirling dervishes out in the canyons of Utah…very nice thoughts indeed.

Even some snow sparkles here. Beautifully peaceful.
