It’s such a serene landscape. Really feels like winter just before the temperature is about to increase. I love the almost monochromatic feel to the picture. Beautiful.

It was still quite cold, Otto…but between weather systems, so the snow was fading a bit. Thank you for your words….

Another stunning image, Scott.
Can’t believe how you get those river reflections with not a ripple in the water.
Really beautiful composition too.

Absolutely beautiful photo of my favorite, reflections, so wonderfully captured in a smooth-as-silk image. This is a real favorite of mine. I won’t forget this one either.

Wow, this is so pleasing! I love the netting effect of those branches….the water is so placidly silvery…there are many subtle colors…a “big” picture with a lot to look at!

How lovely and serene. The chill really comes through as a result of the blue tones.

Thank you, Meanderer…it was quite chilly out there.

I’m surprised to see open water with all that snow, but rivers can take quite a while to freeze over.
February 15, 2013 at 5:42 am
Even as cold as it has been, I’ve not seen any ice on this river, many of the smaller streams, yes, but not this one….

Thank you, Karen…I would have loved to explore further along the side, but I would have had to climb around a gate that had a sign on it that mentioned something about trespassing….
