No, it often doesn’t, Adrian…this has been sitting unused since the middle of the 1920s, so it’s been brewing for a while now….. I’m glad you enjoyed the image…..thank you for your kind words. 🙂

It’s always nice to see railroad tracks. They’ve torn them all up here.

Yes, it is, Allen…I’ve seen posts from several bloggers back east and it seems to be a common thing…. Hopefully they’ve recycled or re-purposed all of the rails and ties. I can imagine that those would be some very peaceful walkways and trails, if they’ve recycled the graded areas, too.

What is it about a railroad track that makes at least a small part of us want to abandon everything else and follow it, just to see where it might lead and what adventures might result? I know I’ve had that feeling many times, and this provokes yet another. Thanks for the dream!

That would be a dream, wouldn’t it, Gary? What a nice thought.

Good morning, Scott. Here I see memories… simple, hardworking folks with lives and dreams and children all grown, now gone away to a modern world… they passed this way in a swirling rush of sound and wind… just faint shadows now among the mesquite and indiangrass.

Hello, Michael…yes, there would be tons of memories out there. I know they would not all be pleasant, but wouldn’t it be nice if we could capture them from the past somehow?

I do love the tracks (except that they are abandoned), but it is the variation color that makes me sigh.

I’m with you there, LB…I love those colors, too….very much so. 🙂

I love this so much – the weeds really speak to me, and the rail bed – I’ve always loved that combination. Then the stormy sky and graceful trees…perfectly captured!

Thank you, Lynn…I’m rather fond of all of those things, too. 🙂
