If you would speak here…

What stories would you tell?  What memories would you trust to your readers, to the world?  What dreams would you confide?  What sadness would you share?  From what soap-box subject would you shout?  What fantasies would you indulge?  What sins would you confess in the name of another?  What other life would you live?  What unwritten books in your mind would you open for the rest of us to read?  If you would speak here….

I have often thought of telling any of the myriad stories and memories of my success and failure in several marriages and several occupations, but it might just be a confession. And what if the stories are far more interesting to me than anyone who would read here? Haha, for certain they would be, but I do think that the stories of success and failure are most interesting when told first person and with complete honesty, which I guess is akin to confession. Dreams and sadness I have known, would I dare share? Fantasies abound, again, how brave am I? And sins, Oh my soul to be so strong. What other life would I live? At times this one will do, but I wonder if I had the power to “do over,” so many things I see so much clearer now? Unwritten books? I pause over my verbal inadequacy as a block to it, but experience does lend itself to stories, and I have some of that to be certain. Who knows? Thank you Sir for provoking the possibilities with excellent questions. Can I be so honest and bold? I shall ponder in my mind if not here just yet!

    • That was beautiful, Byron…truly so…. Spoken with the wisdom of one who’s been around the block a few times and learned along the way…and measured with self-knowing. Very nice. Thank you, my friend!
