I don’t know who the picture actually belongs to, but I would give them/you full credit for it if I could…borrowed from a re-post of a re-post on Facebook:
What else is there to say?

A friend of mine posted that on their Facebook page also and I commented about how disgusting we are as humans

Now THAT is the power of juxtaposition. I defy anyone not to be impacted by this pairing of images.

The worst thing is not that people on the right side picture are buying and consuming all this huge amount of unnecessary things. What annoys me and makes me sad the most is their attitude with respect to this behaviour. They believe that by doing so they are actually doing what is absolutely necessary and totally normal and if for some reason someone or something deprived them from their ability to do that then they would instantly become less happy or less human or even less alive….
I don’t think they are disgusting. They are pathetic!

Excellent point, Nikos…and not only do they become less happy, alive, or human, they sometimes become angry and hostile to the point of violence when deprived of their ability to do this…it seems to drive them out of their more developed thought processes and drop them again into the primitive region of their brain-stem where it’s all about survival, somehow. I still think it’s disgusting, but I do agree that they are pathetic, too. Thank you, Sir, for your excellent contribution to the post. It’s always a pleasure when you visit the blog. Thank you again.
