City Paint 1.2 – 5 Monkeys Bar Addendum

I took my daughter out for a Saturday morning drive-about, looking to see what we might see…and so that she might find something to use in her “Art Appreciation” course for school.  We went back to the site of City Paint 1 -5 Monkeys Bar in Murray, Utah, and found that they had added a new mural to their series…this one being their name-sake piece.  Again, it was too good to resist another photo-shoot.  On a side-note, this mural and the other 5 Monkey pieces were created by Kier, the same guy who did the huge mural that I featured in City Paint 3 – 2012…The End?

    • And has made himself the center of attention, much to the dismay of King Baboon! Thank you, Helen. 🙂

  5. Delightful, as usual!!! Someone else I’m following just happens to be doing street-art from South Africa. Give him a peek if you think you’d be interested:

  6. A very eye-catching mural! (But someone surely has to drop a wee bit of rain on the parade and point out that only one of the subjects appears to be a monkey…)

    • Yeah, yeah, yeah…ok, Gary…leave it to the vet to drop the wee bit of rain on the parade…the rest of us were going to just let the guys generalize and have fun with the name…ok…. So how does this sound…imagine the DJ on a hopping Friday or Saturday night – “Hey everyone…welcome to the Four Apes and ONE Monkey Bar in Murray, Utah….woo hoo…ROCK ON!!!” Hmmm…I don’t think so. Where’s my smoke pot? 🙂 🙂

  8. Those monkeys have seen far too much being behind that bar….every one of them seems traumatized. 😉

    • I think you’re right, Nancy…either traumatized or having too much rip-roaring fun from consuming a bit of what they’re supposed to be selling. 🙂
