Try to contain yourself….

Certainly they’re not the most compelling of photographs, but I was struck by the symmetry and lines….Β  On second thought, maybe there is some beauty in there…somewhere…maybe….structure, order, geometric shapes and colors…ok, maybe no beauty…..

It actually makes me a little dizzy to be honest – but neat capture, regardless!!!

  3. perhaps the beauty comes from knowing that a person in a crane waaaaay of the ground stacked those containers so efficiently (and safely!).

  6. I really like it. It has merit. I have a love affair with repetition, and that’s what this is. It would be a great backdrop for a more simple focal point, such as the trash bin (only straight on and not at an angle–I mean, if you could line that sucker up to cover one of the containers, it would really pop). Or, if you like to do composites, you can add a focal point from another photo. Even so, the first image is still a very strong graphic.

    • I’m glad you like it, Dezra…and those are all very nice ideas. I’m going to pass on the straightening of the dumpster, though…I was accosted for even being on the property taking pictures, to begin with, so I don’t think I’ll go back and ask the guy to move the dumpster for me. πŸ™‚

Thank you for the ideas and the points to consider for future shots…I appreciate the feedback. πŸ™‚

  7. Hi Scott: I like it. It is an usual subject but interesting and visually appealing in it’s own right.

  8. It is interesting, and brings thoughts about the nature of our life style, and how commodities are brought to us from the far corners of the world.

  9. Very cute title indeed, but I’m afraid my first flash was modern life intrudes. and there seems to be a strange lack of graffiti πŸ˜‰

  13. If there is beauty here it comes from the symmetry. There is a lot of symmetry in nature-just look at a honeycomb.

    • There is beauty in symmetry, Allen…and I like your example…thank you.
