Lovely scenery and falls.
This worked out really well in B & W – just the right amount of contrast to be effective.

Thank you, Victoria. I was hoping there would still be enough detail left in the rocks, even with the shadows. I’m glad you like it. 🙂

Cool, clear water… did you ignore warnings and take a drink?
August 23, 2012 at 2:25 pm
It’s very tempting, Gunta, especially after the hour hike UUUUP to get there, but no…I brought my own drink. I’m too familiar with some of the nature-acquired maladies to be taking such an unnecessary risk. 🙂

Spectacle waterfall Scott, love how you have done it in black and white, makes the image all about the movement of the water. Beautiful.

Why do I think 1950’s Life Magazine?

I don’t know, George…maybe it’s the timeless quality of the B&W processing. 🙂

Thank you, Yvonne…I’m rather in love with them myself. 🙂

You’ve caught the water extremely well – just the right amount of blur. One suggestion: my eye gets drawn to the piece of driftwood lower Rt corner that in my opinion is slightly distracting. Have you thought of cropping off the right side up to that branch (it’s about 25% of the width). I think the composition could stand that comfortably. Just a thought, that’s all!

I can see how that driftwood might be distracting. I’ll have to go back and play with the shot. Thank you, Andy. 🙂
