    • I agree, Chillbrook…and I trust you found the chairs up there?

      December 1, 2012 at 12:31 pm

      • I did Scott, very strange. I wonder how they got there.

        December 1, 2012 at 1:54 pm

        • I thought it was rather strange, too…and the area is not too far from a residential neighborhood, so I would imagine that someone who lives nearby just brought them up there.

  3. I like the contrast between the foreground and the far peak, Scott

    • That is quite a difference, Andy…thank you.

  4. …and the best part is it’s not at all crowded. πŸ˜‰

    • Nope…and only “seating” for two….

  5. Whoa! How far in advance does one have to call to reserve it–and what’s the number to call?

    November 30, 2012 at 3:52 pm

    • I think it might be “first come, first served” Gary…but I can show you the way. πŸ™‚

  6. That view made the hike worthwhile, i’m sure!

    November 30, 2012 at 6:28 pm

    • It was actually a very easy hike to here, Allen…a trail with very little grade that runs along the foot of the mountain…it’s called “The Bonneville Shoreline Trail,” as it essentially follows or goes along the remaining benches from the ancient Lake Bonneville…. Here’s a link for the trail: http://www.bonnevilleshorelinetrail.org/index.htm But yes, the view was well worth whatever effort it took to get there….

      • Wow, 280 miles is a long trail! But you’re right-it looks relatively easy.

        December 2, 2012 at 6:07 am

        • It seems that the 280 total miles is the goal, although it’s not all connected…and yes, it’s quite easy…like taking a nice walk, mountain on one side and the view of the valley on the other.

Great view and I love the colour – such a contrast to the distant mountain capped with snow.
