It is nearly mind-boggling sometimes, Liana…and aside from being in awe the whole time out there, there is an equal feeling of insignificance in the grand scheme of things…that we are so incredibly small compared the enormity of IT ALL…but maybe that’s simply another part of having that awe…anyway…I’m rambling for loss of better words…….yes, Forrest-Gumpian…me, too…..

Thank you, Adrian…and yes, the scale thing again…I wonder if there’s any similarity to you being out on a boat in your nearby ocean, taking in the hugeness of that ocean, really, having even the beginning of an understanding of the depth and breadth of the thing…and we are so small out there…I’m glad you enjoy it so…and glad that I have the privilege of sharing it with you, truly…..

Yes, one of those things, Andy, outdoors or outback…up on the side of a mountain, anyway. If I remember the various posts correctly, though…you seem to have made it to some pretty spectacular places anyway, having been born where you were, my British friend…but I do understand the envy…and so appreciate the opportunity I have with these mountains and canyons being only 15 to 20 minutes from my home…I look at the mountains every single day and am grateful to be here next to them…I do understand….

Yes, it would, John…the snow-boarders love the place…I don’t know if you’re familiar with the saying or slogan, but many people in these parts say that Utah has the greatest snow on earth…and while I’m nothing of a snow-connoisseur, I do know that it’s pretty wonderful…. 🙂

Snow is very pretty and I used to enjoy driving on snow but that was when I was reckless behind the wheel. As a teacher I hated it…..you had to watch your back when crossing the school yard as a few kids liked throwing lumps of ice around, so my favourite winter sport now is sitting by the fire with a glass of wine!

Like teeny little ants. What a fantastic way to give us a sense of scale. But it still doesn’t compare to the experience of being up in those grand mountains.

It was a lot of fun on the route that I took, Allen, with only a moderate amount of snow…and from what I know of how those two came up to the ridge, they were on the south facing slope of the ridge and there was no snow on that side, only on the top and on the side that you can see…so they had fun walking on the snowy top of the ridge….
