Scott, I really like this photo…. the cold light and the person walking on the trail. Reminds me of walking in the Boise foothills. Thanks for posting it.

    • I imagine that it would be very similar to walking on your Boise foothills, Erica…it’s not exactly walking distance from there, but it’s not too far either…and you’re welcome. 🙂

  2. I love this photo. It’s been weeks since I’ve been able to go hiking – weather and my schedule just haven’t allowed it. Hopefully soon but in the meantime, I can have little vicarious moments through photos like this.

    • Hopefully soon…I’m glad you can take a little vicarious hike with us here, though….

  3. In case it looks like my son has a third leg or is getting ready to jump a post, that darkness between his feet is actually my grandson’s foot…he was a little bit ahead of my son on the trail…….and there it is…hopefully it’s not too much of a distraction. 🙂

  7. Great photo – the money plant in the foreground really makes it sing.

    • I had seen the “money plant” only in dried arrangements before moving here…and you’re the second person is less than a month to refer to it as such…how nice that my world keeps expanding here on the blog…. I’m glad you like the image, Lynn…thank you. 🙂

  11. Superbe photo. Avec la neige, on oublierai presque qu’il y a un sentier sous nos pas. bonne journée.

    • Je vous remercie, Val … et la neige nous aide à oublier beaucoup de choses … vous avez une bonne journée, aussi.

  12. When i was that age they had a hard time getting me into the house because I loved the outdoors. I have a feeling this one might be the same way.

    • This little one isn’t quite as outdoorsy as he could be, but he does love being out there…rather enjoys being up in the mountains and canyons.

  13. WOW. Just WOW. This is a painting, Scott. The white “arm” of foliage does it for this one. I love the subject too. This is definitely one of your very best, memorable, and classic photographs. A keeper. 🙂

  14. This is wonderful. I’m seeing some serious growth in your images…. the composition in this one is superb. The money plant adds an incredible touch. Perhaps someday you can remove the offending foot (which I never noticed until you pointed it out.) 😉

    February 2, 2013 at 11:50 pm

    • Thank you, Gunta…very nice words. And yes, maybe someday I could pluck it out, the offending foot…. 😉
