  1. It looks as chilly as it is strikingly beautiful, Scott! How high were you, what time was it, and how long did it take you to get to this spot?

    • Good morning, Gary…and it was quite cold…somewhere in the mid to high teens…at about 9:15 actually…and my son and I were out driving around town looking for nice shots along the river. We were on the far west side of town looking east…and were probably close to 4,500 feet…out on the streets of western SLC. I’m glad you enjoyed the shot…thank you.

  4. Another cool shot (both literally and figuratively)! You must be longing for a bit of spring by now.

    • I love this…but, yes…I am longing for the warm trails in my green and forested mountains…….thank you, Gunta. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. That’s what we’ve had here-glimpses of sunshine through the clouds. I love to see a day with nothing but sunshine.

Lovely capture of the clouds, but it looks….. oh….. so cold.

(Having said that, I am still fatigued from Melbourne’s sweltering heat and unable to do much walking. Wish it was Autumn, or even…..dare I say…..wish it was winter here. Wish it was anything but this heat).

    • Thank you, Victoria…and it’s one of those trade-off situations…I’ll take the cold to be able to find the mountains like this. And I do know your heat, too…sweltering and fatiguing….

  7. Yes, it is almost frightening in its incredible power, isn’t it?

  9. Beautiful! I love it when clouds intermingle with mountains.

    February 25, 2013 at 11:11 am

    • Thank you, Lynn…I’m still enamored with the mountains…and do love when the clouds join them up there, too.
