Dromedary Peak under Snow
It looks a little different than it did in this earlier post…but I believe it’s still full of an incredible and natural beauty….

Incredible is right! I love those perfect pine trees that are scattered about.

Thank you, Susan…it is such a beautiful place…one of my favorite hikes, too, in getting there.

Beautiful indeed and, just think, probably more white stuff coming your way…. 😉

Thank you, Gunta…and you’re right…the avalanche center that I follow mentioned that the nearby mountains and canyons received another 3-6 inches of that white stuff over the past 24 hours…and the dark clouds have been nestled over them for most of the day, too, probably dumping more of it as we speak/write….

We’ve had several days of lovely weather and sunshine. Perhaps it’ll be heading your way soon. I suspect you could use some relief.

We have had a couple of very nice days in a row now…and more heading our way. I do appreciate your sharing. 🙂

The two pictures are two extremes of a beautiful place, by the looks.

They sure are, Allen.

Lovely……you can almost “hear” the silence….
March 8, 2013 at 8:46 am
Thank you, Kai…and yes, the silence there is profound…so removed from the city life that exists those few miles away…the only things we could hear up there aside from our talking was the wind and our feet in the snow…so we were often without words, my son and I, just looking, absorbing it all, marveling….

We’ve had such a lovely Spring day here today.. You’re clearly still firmly in the grip of winter. It’s very beautiful though Scott. Lovely picture. 🙂

I’m very happy for your Spring day, Adrian…I know you and your Isles have been rather soggy for these many recent months. I made this photo back in January when my son and I made the trek up to Lake Blanche…on a beautifully and gray Winter day. Thank you for the nice words, my friend…. 🙂

Fresh, fresh, fresh! And those trees stand so straight. winter will be in the mountains for a while yet…
March 9, 2013 at 9:07 am
So fresh, Karen…and invigorating nearly beyond words, too, in the getting there…and then in absorbing it all. And you are correct, Winter is visiting us again up in the mountains…another several inches of snow since yesterday…..
