They’re everywhere around here…and that white bark reminds me of the birches of my childhood in Germany…
Great picture Scott I love the beginning of Spring I wish we could have Spring all of the time and a little bit of the summer and autumn but no winter because it gets to cold and no late summer because it gets to cold unless your from Texas then you get hot, hot, hot year round. These must be Aspens, right? The composition is cleverly chosen, great contrast between the trunks and the fresh green foliage, Scott. I do wish we had that species over here.

They are Aspens, Andy…and I think you guys probably have very similar Birches over there, don’t you? Thank you for the nice words about the photo….I rounded a bend in the trail and came upon the scene and just had to snap the photo…it seemed like a wonderful shot just waiting for a camera to come along….
