  2. Incredible textures and layers you captured here, Scott. It makes me ache to be back there again… but then I remind myself of the weather. 😀 You capture the beauty and the feeling of those mountains so well.

    • Well….yes, there is the weather….but I’m glad it gives you the yearning to be back….and thanks for the nice words, Gunta.

  4. It looks like there is still a lot of snow up there.

    • The photo is from 2-3 months ago, Allen, before the significantly warmer temps came around again.

Wonderful landscape shot. Looks cold though.

    • Cloudy day, Vicky, with a few raindrops…and yes, would have been colder up closer to the snow, but if I recall correctly, we were in short-sleeved shirts that day.

  6. But those white-caps are the kings!

    • I love them, Terry…they add so much to the landscape.

  7. Love all the layers in this, Scott. I also like the warm to cool colours.

    • Thank you, Meanderer…a glimpse of the early, early Spring here…passing snow and just a bit before the greening started…..

  9. Liana

I am such a sucker for railroad tracks…I like seeing them this way. Nice.

    • I find them to be rather compelling, too, Liana…used to love wandering along them in my childhood….. Glad you enjoyed the photo….thank you. 🙂

    • They are my friends out here, Shimon……

  11. I love those railroad tracks in the foreground. You have again done a great job of telling the story of the landscape around you, from the grass at your feet to the mountains that are miles away.

    • I like your words, Lynn….thank you. 🙂

  12. I am hopeful that trains still run, but I know in my heart that they do not. I see the “prairie grass” feather-like plant here, but it is not indigenous. This is a multifaceted story picture. I like it.
