There was quite a bit of peace to be had up there….it is a wonderful place, truly.

The aspens look like they’ve been painted in. There’s still snow there, I see-it must be quite high up.

The leaves on the aspen are still very new, Allen…and yes, it’s quite high up there. Lake Blanche is supposed to be right about 8,900 ft in elevation.

So lovely, so serene…

Thank you, Gunta….and yes, it was serene when we were up there…but we passed many people climbing up as we were going down, so I think the serenity might have been compromised had we remained in the area much longer.

You’re very kind, Miss Bonnie…I have truly been inspired (and taught) by the company I keep here…our fellow photo-bloggers and artist-photographers…and it helps to have such wonderful subjects to photograph, as well…very similar to someone else’s garden that I’ve visited here….. 🙂

Lovely light on those trees Scott….and a perfect mirror to see them in.

The morning light and calm water…there were no clouds the entire time up there, John…no breezes, either…just nice mountain air in a spectacular setting.

I was worried about the overhead sun, Andy…seems to have turned-out ok, though.
Scott, this photograph just vibrates with the energy of profuse growth. That refection is fantastic!
