  2. Shouldn’t it have migrated by now? Or is the pond heated to keep it from freezing?

    • Hmm…I want to say that this swan is part of a collection of “domesticated” swans, if there is such a thing. They are maintained by the staff of the French restaurant where I gently trespassed to make the photos. So, this guy/gal isn’t likely going anywhere in the “off-season.” And I didn’t see any ice on the water, so it might be heated at least a little bit, but not enough to be causing any mist or steam…my fingers were FREEZING when I was making the photos, so the water should have been steaming (maybe) when I was there. 🙂
