Fantastic Scott, I love them. Weather can really change an image and give it great atmosphere.

Thank you, Leanne. The closeness of the clouds is something that I’ve greatly enjoyed while living so close to the mountains.

You will miss them!

I miss them already, Terry…. 😦
I suspect you will miss these mountains and clouds nearly as much as I do! 😉 But you’ve got some fantastic shots to remember them by.

Yes, I certainly will, Gunta…thank you.

It’s interesting Scott to see your mountains clothed as such. They take on a different, altogether more moody aspect…..and slightly threatening at that. A fusion of the earth with the elements…..a place of the gods…..and rather spooky.
And to climb through the clouds….that’s an experience….especially when the cloud breaks and you get to see the view….always special.

It’s been one of the wonderful things about living so close to them, John…being able to watch the mood of the mountains change with the frequently changing weather up here. The place of the gods, certainly….and not spooky to me, usually. I do remember, though, returning from a long hike in the mountains on a late Fall afternoon….and I had forgotten how it gets dark so much earlier in the deep canyons….that was a little spooky…..and now a treasured memory from my days in Utah.

You have an incredible talent for capturing the beauty, majesty, and moodiness of those mountains! I am wondering if I might use one of those images on my blog? I have been searching for a picture of the clouds wrapped around the Wasatch Mountains, and yours are by far the most amazing I have seen. I, of course, will link back to your blog where I found them. Thank you!

Thank you, Amy…very kind words about the photos of my beloved mountains. You may certainly use one of the images, and I will thank you to give proper credit and provide a link when using it. Thank you for contacting me…and I’ll look forward to seeing how you use the photograph over at “Involuntary Smiles.” 🙂
