  4. ….with just the sound of the wind stirring the branches and the distant call of a bird echoing through the forest. …….and this is not a remote wilderness photographed for National Geographical, but a forest trodden by the likes of you and me. I say this because that pathway, set at an ankle twisting angle, seems so familiar…..we have all walked there, deep in our own thoughts…….a familiar forest on the other side of the world…..thanks Scott.

  5. That’s fascinating. The picture of Arizona that I’ve always had in my mind didn’t include anything like this. I’ve always thought it was all desert.

    • Your expectations wouldn’t be disappointed, Allen, there is an incredible amount of desert out here, but at the higher elevations, you can also find forests like this one…and a little higher up and only a few miles north of this one, you could also find Aspen. I haven’t managed to get there yet, myself, to hike among them, but I’ve driven past the mountains and have seen that familiar golden glow from afar during the Fall season.
