Is it already that green there? Of course it is–how wonderful!

Yes, Gary, it is that green out there already…but there were still a lot of winter-bare branches all throughout the canyon. I think I’ll need to come back in a couple of months to capture some close-up images of the green walls and canopy of trees….oh, but then it’s going to be over 100 degrees out there…so we’ll see how it goes. I’m sure it will be another early morning venture, so it shouldn’t be horribly hot. 🙂

It’s hard to argue about that kind of beauty, isn’t it? 🙂

I can see why it’s a wilderness area Scott!

It was actually the first federally decreed Wilderness Area in the state, Adrian…way back in 1922; 56,000 acres of protected land…and yes, well-chosen…..

Looks like a great place to explore and get out of the hot sun.

The shade was wonderful, Allen…I’m sure it will be even more so later in the season with rising temperatures.

Oh….I’m a reluctant admirer, Gunta…and I can’t deny that it is, indeed, a lovely place. 🙂

I’m guessing this area would be gorgeous in the fall too!

You are so fortunate to have a real wilderness on your doorstep, Scott. There are few places of which that could be said here. How exciting to explore ..

A good fortune that I don’t take lightly, John….and yes, it is truly exciting to explore these wilderness areas.
