Yes, it was…things were very quiet until their dog came bounding and barking into the little glade there…but it is/was undeniably beautiful anyway.

Great place for a picnic on a hot day I’ll bet.

It certainly would be, Allen…after a nice hike to get there. 🙂
This is a gorgeous picture, and not easy to do, with all the contrast. What’s going on? Looks like lots of plastic. Did you figure out what they were doing?

Thank you, Lynn…I had to crop-out the top portion, as that upper left corner was just too bright. And no, it’s not plastic…those are boulders, big chunks of whitish-colored rock…the lady is sitting on the one to the right…and if I remember correctly, the man had brought a pot to the stream to either wash or collect water…seems they must have camped nearby.

I agree with Lynn… it’s gorgeous! I also wondered about the ‘plastic’, but zooming in helped to verify their rockyness… They sure do look like plastic though!

Thank you, Miss Gunta…and yes, that does look like plastic in the picture…but in a land of particularly red rock and basalt and whatever else there was in the canyon, there was a bit of white something, too…quartz maybe….

Wow, a beautiful and idyllic location, filtered light and reflections. You found paradise.

It seems like I did, John. 🙂

How beautiful, love the reflection! I could sit under that tree all day!

Thank you, Susan….and it was very tempting to do just that, sit there all day….but I had miles to go and then several miles back…and then a two-hour drive back home….so I couldn’t be sitting around for too long. 🙂
