“Bridge over Gentle Waters” revisited….
Five and a half years have passed since I made the first photograph on a sweet April morning in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dense river-side vegetation and seriously overhanging limbs prevented me from gaining even a similar perspective of that earlier image…so this is what it looks from the other side.

Both images are beautiful…the black and white was before I was on WP, so I’m glad you linked to it. This one has just enough space in the sky and between the bushes in front of the water to lead my eyes around very happily, or should I say gently. A beautiful scene with transcendent light.

Thank you, Lynn….this image has a feeling of almost being too full, if that makes sense…so I’m glad we can see the sky…both above, and reflected in the water a bit….

All that vegetation and limbs make for such a lovely soothing scene though! All that shade would be really nice on a Utah summer day.

I’m sure it does provide a nice bit of shade on the warmer summer days up there…such a compelling place…..

I can almost imagine myself sitting on a comfortable bench near where the camera is, and reading a good book in such a perfect environment.

There weren’t any benches nearby, but it was nice and quiet there alongside the river and walkway, Shimon…it would have been wonderful to sit there and read a good book…plenty of shade…with birds in the trees and ducks/geese floating along on the water….

Two different moods, and both so beautiful! The kinds of places that make you feel many stories, over many times..

The place is just full of stories, Cath….
