morning silhouettes

A sunrise hike with one of my sons last weekend brought some spectacular desert views….

…with perspectives elevated above the fray that exists between here and there…

…treasures of an Arizona desert morning….

    • Thank you, Terry…those distant peaks make for a nice horizon. πŸ™‚

  3. I don’t ordinarily like black and white conversions, but yours are perfect! It’s getting pretty desertlike here for want of some much needed rain. Perhaps I’m spoiled, but I do miss the moisture.

    • The scene was nearly black and white all on its own, Gunta,so it seemed like the right direction to go. And if I’m not mistaken, you should be entering your rainy season pretty soon, right? So all that moisture will be coming your way again. Speaking of which, we’ve had some uncharacteristically wonderful monsoons down here this year…much more rain than we’ve had in several years, it seems.

      • Entering the rainy season? Not soon enough! Typically we’d need to wait at least until September, but we’ve been in some pretty serious drought, so all bets are off! Things are getting uncommonly dry here. 😦

        • Hmm…okay…got my months off a bit…but September’s gonna be here in like what? Tomorrow? πŸ˜‰

Hopefully it’ll get wet again there, sooner than later….

  4. Love them. I especially like the shot of the single balloon. It feels like they may be the only one in the world.

    • That’s some serious solitude, Laura…and thank you.

  5. How I love those receding gray horizons, and you do such beautiful work with them. The second photograph in particular – time to frame it!

    • Thank you, Lynn…I’ve been thinking about some framing, too…just waiting for the right one. πŸ™‚
