  1. How lovely. Has rather an oriental feel.

    • Thank you for so naming it, Meanderer…I was looking for the words to describe the sentiment and couldn’t place them…nicely done. 🙂

    • I have been meaning to get there for quite some time, Terry. I’m surprised to hear that you never did. I thought I’d find your footprints everywhere I roamed down here! 🙂

  3. A lovely idyllic image. Seems as though the prehistoric looking herons add that little extra touch!

    • Thank you, Gunta. Right after making the image, I encountered another hiker with his camera and binoculars out and he asked me if I had seen anything unusual during the hike. I pointed to the heron and replied that it was at the top of the list for the day. It definitely adds that little extra touch to the adventure. 🙂

Nice b&w above. Visited your area last week… some friends in Scottsdale and some nice hiking up in Sedona area.

    • Thank you, Mike. Did you get the chance to make any photos while hiking in Sedona? I have not hiked up there yet, but hope to find some less populated trails and do so soon….

Yes, I got some photos, have just been slow to post them on the blog… too much else keeping me busy this summer. But I’ll eventually get them up!

    • The contrast between light and shadow dictated the treatment on this one, Lynn…and you’re right, water is so very precious in the desert. Thank you. 🙂
