How lovely. Has rather an oriental feel.

Thank you for so naming it, Meanderer…I was looking for the words to describe the sentiment and couldn’t place them…nicely done. 🙂

I have been meaning to get there for quite some time, Terry. I’m surprised to hear that you never did. I thought I’d find your footprints everywhere I roamed down here! 🙂

A lovely idyllic image. Seems as though the prehistoric looking herons add that little extra touch!

Thank you, Gunta. Right after making the image, I encountered another hiker with his camera and binoculars out and he asked me if I had seen anything unusual during the hike. I pointed to the heron and replied that it was at the top of the list for the day. It definitely adds that little extra touch to the adventure. 🙂

Nice b&w above. Visited your area last week… some friends in Scottsdale and some nice hiking up in Sedona area.

Thank you, Mike. Did you get the chance to make any photos while hiking in Sedona? I have not hiked up there yet, but hope to find some less populated trails and do so soon….

Yes, I got some photos, have just been slow to post them on the blog… too much else keeping me busy this summer. But I’ll eventually get them up!

Ah, such light! The preciousness of water in the desert….beautiful, Scott!

The contrast between light and shadow dictated the treatment on this one, Lynn…and you’re right, water is so very precious in the desert. Thank you. 🙂
