    Hello,

I’m having a party and would like to print some of your photos out really big (2m x 2m) to have on the wall as a backdrop (London doesn’t look that snowy you see)

    Would that be ok?

    Cheers

    Chris

    • Hello Chris…let me know which ones and then share some photos of your place after you have them on the walls. Hope it’s a wonderful London party!

  2. Hi seekraz:
I am looking for images for a prayer walk our church is doing. I loved your image of the bench beneath the huge, leafless tree. I wonder if you would mind me printing it (with copyright credit given to you) and mounting on poster board in one of our prayer stations — just as a visual focus point for prayer. It would be displayed for about 4 days in Jan2013. Please let me know, Thanks so much.

  3. Hi Scott, I noticed you have a Pinterest button at the end of your posts. I just pinned the maple leaf (simply – I think it is titled) into my Special Photos file on Pinterest. Do you consider this a breach of copyright? I now wonder if I should have downloaded it and watermarked it.

The shot made me gasp – 🙂 – that is always a great indicator of a keeper ! thanks. (going on vacation but will check for an answer when I get back)
    Love the homestead series too.

    • Good morning, Leslie…I’m very happy to read that you enjoyed my photos, especially the “Simply…” one. I don’t mind that you have it posted on your Pinterest page, but would ask that you credit me or my site somehow…and a watermark would work. Thank you for your kind words about the photo…and thank you very much, too, for asking about the copyright issue. 🙂

Our company would appreciate your permission and would credit you on our document.

Please get back to me if you have any questions and if you would be willing to help us out.

  6. Hi Scott… you do some beautiful work! I was looking for an image of a snowy trail through the forest, and I found it here. I would like to use it – with full accreditation, of course – in the December 2013 / January 2014 issue of an on-line magazine, 100% of the content being about Arizona. 11. Hello Scott,

Writing an account of a rescue experience for a hiker who had a horrible accident in the Colorado Rockies. Wanted to show her some of the images you’ve taken as a supplement to descriptions of the the geography. May I have your permission to utilize the photos you’ve taken? What format do you prefer for the copyright. Seekraz.wordpress.com or Scott?

We were at Andrew’s Creek, but your photos look similar to the boulders and snowfields trudged through.

    Sincerely,

    Anna

  13. Hi, May I please use your image of the flags at the cemetery? It is striking and poignant. What I would like to use it for is I have a weekly newsletter for my blog, Christian Mommy Blogger. I’d like to use that image as a ” Call to action” to ask people to remember to pray this weekend. Thank you for such a beautiful site and letting us ask to use your pictures.

  15. Hi! I am putting together a Pinterest mural tour of Salt Lake City, and you have the best images on the internet of many of the murals that are out there. Do you mind if I link your photos up to the tour? (I didn’t think it appropriate to link more than a couple without your permission)

    September 20, 2014 at 11:19 am

    • Hello Roger, yes, you may use the images for your mural tour…please be sure to give credit for the photos…and send me a link to your page or the page where you’re presenting the tour. Thank you for asking….and good luck with the tour. 🙂

I’m working to identify a historic 1846 route (Cooke’s Wagon Road) in the American southwest. Would like to illustrate a fauna/flora quote by Lt Emory and need a good antelope photo. I like some of yours better than what wiki has. What say you? Thanks for considering the request.

First, thanks for having a copyright notice. I’m doing a slide show as a wedding gift for a couple that became engaged at Bridal Veil Falls. May I use a one of your beautiful pictures from the falls for the beginning of the slide show and slide show dvd cover? Thank you for such a lovely blog.

    June 30, 2015 at 1:55 pm

    • Hello Karlee – You are welcome for the copyright notice…and I thank you for honoring it…and thank you for the nice words about my blog. 🙂 Yes, you may use one of the Bridal Veil Falls photos for your slide show and DVD cover…please send me a link to the images that you decide to use. I would love to see the finished product when you have it ready to present to your friends…the slide including the photo, that is, not the entire slide show…and an image of the DVD cover. I don’t know how you’d do it, but it would be best, too, if you were able to give me credit for the images that you use…like putting something in the corner of the image, or on the inside of the DVD case, “Bridal Veil Falls photo by Scott Brill at seekraz.wordpress.com” Something like that. Thank you again for asking to use the photographs…and good luck with your artistic endeavors. 🙂

    Hi Scott,
I would like to use one of your lovely Douglas fir cones in the snow photos (Snow cones, last image on the page) as a cover photo on the Skagit Conservation District facebook page. I also want to confirm that it is indeed a Douglas fir cone and not something else. I would give photo credit in the comment section or as a status post. Let me know if you’re ok with that. Thanks so much! – Jenny Hinderman

    Hi Scott,
I would like to use one of your images as ‘cover art’ for a music composition I’m putting on my Soundcloud site. I wrote the piece as a memorial to a friend who passed 3 years ago. I’ll be posting a link to the music on my personal facebook page. I will give you credit on the soundcloud site. OK?

I’m a Dutch student. I got a task to paint a park during fall time and came upon one of your pictures.
I was hoping I could use it as a reference.
    It concerns this one:

  27. Tammy Johnson

Hi Scott! Such beautiful photos!! I am putting together a Program Aide training manual, for older Girl Scouts in our area in Oregon, to teach leadership skills. I was searching for images to go with the phrase “While we can’t always walk in someone else’s shoes, we can take the time to inquire about how the shoe fits and if its path is smooth or riddled with pebbles.” I came across your photo Desert Light 5/21/17 stone-in-path. I feel the phrase depends on the perspective, and the path in your photo is smooth, pebbled and rocky.

I would have to print it in black and white. Could I have your permission to use it, with your credit, in our manual? If so, it is marked with your copyright, what else should I include? If not, no problem, I love your work!!!

    November 9, 2017 at 1:01 pm

    • Hello Tammy – thank you for the kind words about my photos, etc…such heart-felt feedback is wonderful! Yes, you may use the image…and please include something like “Desert Light photo used with permission by Scott Brill at Seekraz.wordpress.com” As “payment” for using the photograph, may I ask for a copy of the manual in which you are using it?

      Thank you again….Scott

    Dear Scott,

I request permission to use your photo of the misty dome of the Utah State Capitol from City Creek Canyon as my Facebook cover photo for a few days. (I change my cover photos frequently.) I grew up in Salt Lake and played in both the canyon and the Capitol as a child, which I’ll briefly describe. The reference is https://seekraz.wordpress.com/tag/city-creek-canyon/

    • Hello Carol…please include the link to the post that contains the quote so I know what you’re borrowing. Thank you. 🙂
