  5. You’ve got a great composition there Scott and the processing lends it a Coen brothers style 1930’s wild west atmosphere. It’s a very nice image

  6. Mary Lou Rutledge

That must be Grandma’s house up ahead! Great photo.

    • I would love for that to be Grandma’s house up ahead, Mary Lou…but it’s a restored farm that belongs to the city now. And thank you for the nice words…I’ll pass them along to my son, as he took the photo. 🙂

  10. I love farms like this one. They remind me of a time when everything happened so much more slower than today, when we had time to savor each moment before they passed us by. Today they’re gone so quickly you hardly even know they happened. If that little guy is growing up there, someday he’ll realize how lucky he was.

    • I agree with you, Allen…and I think I would have done just fine in the era when this farm was new and in full production…I love that pace and the ability to savor those moments. This little one gets to visit the farm probably every other weekend; his dad and mom take him there to see all the animals and to shop in the little farmers’ market they have there. He always looks forward to going and comes home having fully enjoyed the experience…I’m sure he’ll remember it for years, as the visits there seem to be a regular part of his family’s weekend routine. Thank you for your nice words, Allen.

  11. OMG! Amazing! Is the child a part of your family or a happy happenstance?

    June 4, 2012 at 5:16 pm

    • The little one is actually my grandson, Bonnie…his daddy/my son took the picture. 🙂

  12. Absolutely gorgeous. I love the vision of the small child running, the composition, the colour, the light & shade – just everything about this photo.
