    Lagoooooooooooooooooooooooooon! I’m sure it has grown up considerably from the 60’s (yes, I was in grade school in the 60’s and we ALWAYS took a field trip to Lagoon). Oh the memories. You are the best!

      Yes, Dezra…your beloved Lagoon in Farmington, Utah. I would imagine that it has grown considerably since you were a child, but this was my first visit, so I have no reference. I’m glad the photos brought good memories to mind. 🙂

        It wasn’t very good back then, but it was the best we had. The Fun House was the best, though. In the 60’s in grade school we were required to wear dresses all the time (if female). We would wear shorts under our skirts so we could hang upside-down on the monkey bars at school, but some girls didn’t for whatever reason. In the Fun House there would be bursts of air from the ground. Skirts would go flying and underwear would show (if the girls didn’t wear shorts). Granny’s NEVER wore shorts under their skirts. When their skirts went flying, they were hilarious! Many took it in stride and laughed about it. I loved the Fun House. They eventually tore it down, though. At one point, they considered closing Lagoon altogether. Instead, they built it up. I haven’t been since before they tore down the Fun House.

          What interesting memories, Dezra…grannies and little girls and their skirts. 🙂

          There is one very old looking roller-coaster still standing and in-use at Lagoon…can’t imagine how old it really is, but it’s still made of wood and the paint is peeling pretty severely…but it’s still being used, so it must be safe.

          Based upon what you’ve said, I’m sure you’d be amazed at the place if you visited today.
