  4. A clever title for a beautiful image – as usual I love the pale greens, the grays, and the reds in the rock. What a symmetrical V that tree broke into. On a not-so-hot day you could sit right down underneath it and gaze out at the view, inhaling the dry desert air, the scent of sage…there I go! πŸ˜‰

    • Yes, those pale greens, grays, and the reds complement each other nicely…and it was a serendipitous find, the tree was, as I had walked past it and gone my way…and was then struck by it upon seeing it again with my return trip. The location does not provide much for a long-view, as it is situated in something of a canyon…but it’s rather lush and green down there, so what can be seen is rather wonderful for the high-desert.

    • It was quite wonderful, Gunta…and this was from the most recent trip up into the forest near Flagstaff…so it was much cooler than it was down in the Phoenix valley…some 150 miles south. πŸ™‚

I love the contrast of the seemingly unyielding rock with the constantly moving trees. And those colors! Love this one, Scott!

    • Thank you, LB…I’ve been on this particular trail three times, now, and found that it was “prettiest” with this outing…more fresh green, somehow.
